Welcome...
The Country Register of Nebraska has been in exsistence for many years. Look for the new May/June issue online,
as well as print copy at every advertising shop and many other locations. Each issue contains a large variety of feature stories, press releases and items of interest. In addition, we "theme" each issue and give special attention to the theme in the way of extra articles and often the art work on the front cover.
The themes rotate on a yearly basis with our May-June issue focused on food and tea and and spring growing season. It is a good time for shops to "grow their business" as well by being a part of The Country Register. We do love to promote the art of drinking tea and each year The Country Register has a booth at World Tea Expo in Las Vegas.
Other themes used throughout the year are our annual quilting and needlework issue, antiques and collectibles, arts and craft shows, scrapbooking, rubber art stamping, beading, paper arts, summertime fun, and of course gifts, home and garden decor. We never lack for a subject and we will up date each edition to let you know the "theme" for the next paper due out.
In our Annual holiday issue in November-December we bring attention to the wonderful gift shops and holiday fun.
The spring of 2009 finds us in our 21st year of The Country Register which started in Arizona serving to promote specialty shopping and events. It is now in 44 states and 5 provinces.
As a publisher I still get excited about each issue we produce, even after more than 20 years. It is always a challenge to sell ads, write stories, find art work for our front covers, and get the paper laid out in a way that will make for an easy read and a great guide for our loyal readership. Some papers get shipped but many of them get delivered in person. It is always heart warming to see people anxious for the new edition.
Our most dreaded moment comes after delivery when someone discovers an error. They are never made intentionally and usually aren't fatal. It always makes me aware of mistakes in other publications and so have come to know that it happens in all printed matter quite regularly! Not that this gives us an excuse but we know we aren't the first to make a typo nor the last.
We hope you enjoy each issue and pick up an extra to share with a friend, a neighbor, or relative. Subscriptions are a nice gift to someone who cannot get out and about to pick up a paper at one of the advertisers.
Who would not want to know where the best shops in their state are!
